Model Cheat Sheet (general) PDF Print E-mail

New Kyocera Model Cheat Sheet –COPY

 Copy Quick Set-up Tab:

Zoom – Initial screen brings you to a menu of presets for standard paper size zooms.  The more key brings you into an additional screen for more zoom values and manual zoom.

Density – Initial screen brings you to a scale of 3 shades lighter and 3 shades darker.  The more screen brings you to an additional screen with 12 scale values.

Duplex – This is the menu for making two sided copies.  The initial screen is picture driven and allows you to choose from a picture directory.  The more screen allows you to see a picture and word description of what you would like to perform.

Original Image – Allows you to tell the copier if your original is Text and Photo’s, Text, or just a photo.  Based on this the copier can expose your copy accurately.

Collate/Offset – Collate is turned on by default (also known as sort). Offset allows you to shift each set of your copies (this is the 4th choice in the menu).

 Orig/Paper/Finishing Tab:

Paper Selection – Allows you to choose a cassette to copy from.  This is also where you can choose the Multi-Purpose Tray or Bypass.  To customize the MP Tray press the MP Tray Reservation button.  From there you can choose the type and size paper you will be placing in this tray.

Mixed Sizes – Allows you to feed both letter and legal documents at the same time, and the copier will pull letter from the corresponding tray and legal from the other tray.

 Image Quality Tab:

The choices under this tab are already on the quick tab menu.

 Layout Edit Tab:

Combine – allows you to shrink either 2 or 4 pages onto a single sheet.

Margin/Centering – Allows you to adjust the margins of a hard copy.  Simply choose the top, bottom, left, or right margin and adjust by measurement how much or little margin you would like to create.  Centering allows you to place an object on the glass and have it centered to a desired paper size.

Border Erase – Choose Individual Border, select by measurement how much you would like to erase and from which border.

Page # - Allows you to add page numbers to a copy.  Choose the style, position on the page, and where you would like the numbering to start.

 Advanced Set-up

Continuous Scan – Allows you to reload the document feeder multiple times when you have a large document to copy.

Negative Image – Allows you reverse the black to white and vice versa.

Mirror Image- Will give you a copy in the opposite direction of the original.
