Obtaining the Scanner IP Address PDF Print E-mail
Obtaining the IP address using the Kyocera Quick Setup Utility

Open the folder “KM Quick Setup Utility”. Double click the file “EZSETUP”. The Quick Setup dialogue box should now be open. Click the “Next” button. The next window should show a list of all Kyocera machines connected to your network.

The third column to the right is the “Network Component” column. This column identifies the type of Kyocera hardware that is being detected. Kyocera printers are labeled “IB-21E” or by the model of the machine (e.g., KM-2550). Kyocera scanner ports are labeled “NS-30”. To the left of the Network Component column, the corresponding IP address will be listed. Once you write down the IP address click the cancel button in the bottom right corner of the dialogue box to exit the setup utility. If you need to set/change the IP address, highlight the line with the “NS-30” in it and click the “Next” button.

Set the values for the IP address, Subnet, and Default Gateway. Click the “Next” Button. Leave the password field blank, and click next. It should now begin to configure the changes that were made. Once the configuration is complete, click the finish button to close the setup utility.

Obtaining the IP address from the machine’s operator panel
Press the “Default Settings” or ‘System Menu” button on the panel (usually has a “*” beside it). Look for the option “Scanner Defaults” and select it. The machine will ask for “PIN” numbers: enter 6, 4, 8, 2. A list should be displayed. The list should have a line for “IP Address”. Write down the IP address and press the “reset” and “clear” buttons to return to the default screen of the machine. If you need to change/set the IP address, highlight the IP Address, and select change. Enter the new IP Address and select “OK”.
