Non-Authenticated Relay in Exchange Server 2007 PDF Print E-mail
When setting up scan-to-email functionality on your scanner or MFP, you will need to enable the scanner to access your mail server.   This HOWTO gives you step by step instructions for allowing relay to the specific IP address of the scanner for non-authenticated relay.

To Configure a Non‐Authenticated Relay in Exchange Server 2007
1.) Open the New Exchange Management Console
2.) Under Server Configuration Section, Expand it and Select the HUB Transport ROLE.
3.) Under Receive Connectors, Create a new Receive Connector as shown:

4.) Give it a Name of Scanner Relay and Choose Custom for it’s Intended Use
5.) Under the Local Network Settings, Click Next.
6.) Under the screen that says Receive Mail from Remote Servers that have these IP addresses.
Here is where you add the IP addresses of the copier and scanners.
